Fenzau, Paula, PhD

Dr. Paula Fenzau is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling.  A licensed mental health counselor, a national certified counselor, a certified rehabilitation counselor, and a certified addictions professional, she is the Senior Manager for Utilization Management at the Suncoast Center, Inc.  The Center serves over 25,000 persons annually, and provides 37 programs.  An important part of community mental heath is grantwriting.  As part of the Suncoast grant writing team, her grants resulted in funds to renovate the Center, and to establish a computer lab for clients’ use for GED classes, job preparation and related activities.

A member of the Florida Mental Health Counselor's Association, Dr. Fenzau also is a principal participant in the Statewide Managed Care Behavioral Work Group of the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) and a member of the Access/Utilization  Review Committee of the Central Florida Behavioral Health Network (CFBHN).  She teaches several classes in the RMHC program, including Internship, Legal and Ethical and Professional Standards in Counseling, and Diagnosis and Treatment of Psychopathology.
