Webinar presented for the Center for Continuing Education in Rehabilitation

Awareness of the ethical and legal codes related to vocational assessment provides rehabilitation professionals with credible information that contributes to productive outcomes.   Dr. Tina Dillahunt-Aspillaga’s webinar on Ethics and Vocational Assessment for the Center for Continuing Education in Rehabilitation multi-site national training covered the ethical and legal standards related to the vocational assessment and evaluation of individuals with diverse disabilities. 
 
She examined the vocational assessment process, including discerning level and type of disability; purpose of the assessment; the testing environment; necessary test accommodations;  test development; selection; interpretation; and Evaluator competencies.  She also reviewed an overview of the professional codes in Rehabilitation, including the Code of Professional Ethics for Certified Rehabilitation Counselor’s and the Code of Professional Ethics for Vocational Evaluation Specialists (CVE), Work Adjustment Specialists (CWA) and Career Assessment Associates (CCAA), and the Code of Professional Ethics for Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS).
