Dr. Tina Dillahunt-Aspillaga presents on Community Integration of Veterans at the American Counseling Association Conference

Dr. Tina Dillahunt-Aspillaga and colleague, Michelle Bradham-Cousar, Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant for the Department of Education Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, addressed community integration of veterans at the annual American Counseling Association Conference in Orlando, Florida.  Veterans with disabilities need quality programs to help them return to work and successfully reintegrate into their communities. Considering that one in four veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan report a service-connected disability that can affect their re-employability upon their return home, effective vocational rehabilitation programs are key. The presentation addressed a number of concerns and issues, as well as offered solutions and recommendations to increase community integration of our veterans.
